What we collect
- If you join a list: your email address, your name if you give it, which list or offer you picked, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and when.
- Where you found us: the page you first arrived on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (for example
utm_source). Your browser remembers your first visit locally so we can tell, for example, that you came from a podcast rather than a search. We also note how many of the site's hidden discoveries you'd found, and your approximate country and region from our network edge. - Visit analytics: anonymous page views and clicks, with no cookies, no cross-site tracking and no personal profile. A random id lives only for your browser tab session.
What we do with it
We use your email only to send what you signed up for: news, launches, early access and offers from Day Player: The Call Goes Out, the Right Person Says Yes and closely related Idea Engine projects. We don't sell or rent your information. We use processors to run the site (DigitalOcean for hosting, Cloudflare for the sign-up service, PostHog for anonymous analytics) under their own privacy terms.
Your choices
Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by writing to accounts@idea-engine.com. California residents have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor them for everyone.
Children
This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above.
